CALLIOPE Hair Xpressions.

I partnered with my sister to open a hair salon in Greece. My sister has a vast experience in hair salons and has also worked in TV shows; she also had a couple of years of experience in London and Paris, and she was ready to step up and manage her own. We named the business after her name, as she was the head stylist. The logo was my creative idea, we both wanted to create contemporary stores with clean lines, and the whole brand should follow the same concept. I used illustrator to design the logo and InDesign to make cards and collateral material for the store. 

 

My role in this partnership included the store's interior design, from wall colours to floorings, chairs and furniture, but also negotiating with the hair suppliers to make the agreements. I had succeeded in getting sponsorships for hair fashion shows, synergies for promotions and free seminars for the hairstylist team. I followed the hiring process while my sister was building her team, and I had to finalise the recruitment process by negotiating salaries and bonuses.

Now the salons are two, and the company is still growing; however, I sold most of my shares as it was difficult for me to make decisions while I was living in London.
